Premier calls on ministries to withhold sensitive info from Li

Premier Zhuo Rong Tai has ordered Taiwan's ministries and agencies not to
provide any sensitive information to TPP Lawmaker Li Zhen Xiu...

at least until her legislative eligibility is confirmed.

He also instructed the Central Election Commission to carry out necessary
administrative procedures following communications sent by the Mainland
Affairs Council and the Ministry of the Interior.

Li was born in China but became a naturalized Taiwanese citizen through
marriage.

However, concerns remain regarding her nationality.

The MOI has sent 3 requests to the Legislative Yuan and to Li for her to
provide proof of renunciation of her Chinese nationality prior to taking
office, but it has yet to receive such documentation.
