KMT to complete most nominations in March

KMT Chair Zheng Li-wen says, her party will complete 90% of nominations for
city and county leaders next month.

The party is expected to nominate candidates for Taipei, Yilan, and Chiayi
City early next month...

before naming candidates for Hsinchu County and Taichung at the end of the
month.

Zheng also notes that the KMT would not run a candidate against incumbent Gao
Hong An, formerly of the TPP, in Hsinchu City.

So far, aside from incumbents, the party has only officially nominated
candidates in Tainan, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, and Taitung.

The DPP, meanwhile, has completed nominations in nearly 70% of all cities and
counties.

On blue and white-camp cooperation, Zheng said the two parties have already
held detailed discussions on a shared policy platform and will announce it to
the public as soon as possible.
