Now turning to international news...
UN-backed investigators say, Sudan's paramilitary Rapid Support Forces have carried out a campaign that shows "hallmarks of genocide" against non-Arab communities.
Investigators believe that the RSF inflicted mass killings and starvation-like siege conditionsin the city of el-Fasher.
UN officials say thousands of civilians were killed and many others disappeated after the city fell to the paramilitary forces in October.
The team's report describes executions, rape, torture, abductions and selective targeting of women and girls.
It said the violence looks planned, not chaotic...
and they're calling for accountability and stronger civilian protection as the war spreads.
Sudan plunged into conflict in mid-April 2023, when long-simmering tensions between its military and paramilitary leaders broke out in the capital of Khartoum and spread to other regions, including Darfur.
According to UN numbers, the war has so far killed more than 40,000 people.
Aid groups, however, say that's an undercount and the true number could be many times higher.
