UK planning to force tech firms

Social media sites will have 48 hours to remove intimate images after they're
flagged for being shared without consent, under new UK proposals.

The legislation would see tech platforms that don't comply fined up to 10% of
global revenue, or blocked in the UK.

It's being described by Prime Minister Keir Starmer as an 'ongoing battle'
his government is waging with tech firms, on behalf of victims.

Minister for Victims & Violence Against Women and Girls, Alex Davies-Jones,
says the proposals would have a significant impact.
