Authorities say a bomb attached to a motorcycle has exploded near the gate of a police station in northwestern Pakistan, killing at least two people, including a child, and wounding several others.
The blast also damaged nearby shops.
Local police say the attack took place in a district in the restive Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province bordering Afghanistan.
Though no group immediately claimed responsibility, suspicion was likely to fall on the outlawed Pakistani Taliban, or TTP, who frequently target security forces and civilians.
The TTP is separate from but closely allied with Afghanistan’s Taliban rulers in Kabul.
