The Ministry of Education is encouraging families to visit environmental education centers during the Lunar New Year holiday to stay active and learn about nature.
The ministry says most centers across the country remain open during the break, offering a healthy alternative to sitting for long periods or playing on mobile phones.
Officials say Shei-Pa National Park is currently promoting climate change awareness through interactive card games and science lessons.
In Taipei, the Wild Bird Society has designed courses for elementary students covering topics like wetlands and the water cycle.
The ministry is also reminding the public to stay moving, recommending 30 minutes of physical activity every day, or a total of 150 minutes per week.
