US, Iran hold indirect talks in Oman

Iran and the United States have held indirect talks in Oman.

The negotiations appeared to be a return to the starting point on discussions
over Tehran's nuclear program following multiple rounds last year before
Israel launched a 12-day war on Iran.

US Navy Admiral Brad Cooper, the head of the American military's Central
Command, was at yesterday's talks in Muscat -- serving as a reminder that the
aircraft carrier USS Abraham Lincoln and other US warships have been deployed
off the coast of Iran in the Arabian Sea.

President Trump said the US had "very good" talks on Iran and said more were
planned for early next week.
