The Ministry of Agriculture says fresh fruit, vegetable and various meat supplies will be plentiful throughout the upcoming Lunar New Year holiday.
Officials say overall supply levels for produce, seafood, livestock, and flowers are all significantly higher than usual, helping keep prices largely stable.
Fruit shipments are up more than twenty percent, with items like wax apples, mandarins, dates, and other seasonal citrus now in peak season.
Vegetable supplies have also increased by more than thirty percent, led by cabbage, radishes, and cauliflower.
Seafood supplies are also up more than thirty percent … while pork and poultry supplies have been boosted to meet holiday demand.
The ministry adds that compared with last year, prices for many fruits, vegetables, and flowers have actually fallen, easing holiday shopping pressure for consumers.
