Taipei 101 chair Jia Yong-jie has said that "it's impossible" for other
people to climb the skyscraper as long as she's the chairperson.

The comment follows Alex Honnold successful ascent to the top the skyscraper
as "free solo", which means he did not use any equipment.

The Netflix live broadcast of Honnold's feat, "Skyscraper Live," drew 6.2
million views worldwide and logged 12 million hours of watch time, and Jia
said it's not only beneficial for Taipei 101’s international tourism, but
could also help boost tourism in Taipei City.

Still, Jia said Honnold is a great extreme climber and that the challenge is
something only he could accomplish, stressing there won't be a second person
allowed to do so.

But when asked about filming, she laughed and said, it could be considered if
the person is Tom Cruise.

She enouraged the public to visit “Skyline 460” on the 101st floor to
safely experience the high-altitude view.
