The central government is expanding its "Culture Points" and "Sports Coin" programs to benefit more than 2.6 million citizens this year.
The Executive Yuan announced today that eligibility for these digital points will be broadened to encourage spending on arts, exercise, and local culture.
The expansion includes significant changes to how young people and the general public can access these subsidies:
Officials say Culture Points are now for everyone aged 13 to 22, and Sports Coins are now open to all citizens aged 16 and older.
Premier Cho Jung-tai said these initiatives aim to build long-term habits in arts and sports while helping local industries grow.
