Chiayi City Leads LNY Hotel Booking Rates

The Tourism Administration says hotel bookings for the Lunar New Year holiday
are picking up, with Chiayi City leading at nearly 56 percent.

That figure covers the period from Februrary 14th to the 21st ...

... with officials attributing the lead to returning families and tourists
visiting the Alishan Forest Railway.

Miaoli and Tainan follow closely, at 51 and 49 percent respectively,
maintaining their status as holiday favorites.

Overall, five other regions—including New Taipei, Taichung, and Taitung—are
also outperforming the national average of 38 percent.

The agency notes these figures are based on early reports, and final
occupancy rates may rise ... as travelers book closer to the holiday.

Officials note that the peak travel window falls between February 17th and
19th, coinciding with the first three days of Lunar New Year.
