Taiwan has issued its highest level travel alert for Iran as nationwide protests and a government crackdown continue.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs raised the alert to a level 4 red alert last week.
It is advising citizens not to travel to Iran, and urging those already in the country to leave as soon as possible.
MOFA says five Taiwan nationals currently in Iran have all been reported safe, and the ministry is monitoring the situation through its representative office in Dubai.
