Holger Chen indicted for 'decapitating' president remarks on YouTube

The New Taipei District Prosecutors Office has indicted internet influencer
Holger Chen for comments about "decapitating" President Lai Ching-te. Chen
made the remarks made during a livestream in October.

The influencer was charged with intimidation of the public and public safety.

Chen shouted "Decapitate Lai Ching-te's dog head" during the YouTube
livestream ... riffing on China's so-called decapitation strike exercises
against Taiwan.

The prosecutors said in a press release that Chen's remarks were sufficient
to instill fear in any ordinary person, regardless of the target's status as
president.
