Saudi Arabia says, it bombed the Yemeni port city of Mukalla over a shipment of weapons from the United Arab Emirates thst arrived for the separatist Southern Transitional Council.
The attack signals a new escalation in tensions between Saudi Arabia and the separatist group, which is backed by the UAE.
It also strains ties between Riyadh and Abu Dhabi, which had been supporting competing sides in Yemen's decadelong war against the Iran-backed Houthi rebels.
A military statement announced that the ship's crew "had the disabled tracking devices aboard the vessels" and described the weapons shipment as an escalation threatening peace and stability.
