Kaohsiung Metro & LRT Extends Operating Hours for New Year's Eve

Kaohsiung MRT and the Light Rail will step up services to handle large crowds
expected for New Year's Eve celebrations.

Starting at 4:30 PM on December 31st, both systems will extend operating
hours and increase train frequency.

On the Red Line, trains will run every 3 minutes from midnight until the
system closes at 2 AM on New Year's Day.

Meanwhile, the Kaohsiung Light Rail will remain in service until 1:30 AM.

Authorities say security drills have also been carried out to strengthen
emergency response.
