Starlux Airlines is preparing to enter the European market for the first
time, as the carrier moves ahead with a major expansion plan next year.

The carrier plans to launch two new European routes while adding 14 new
aircraft to its fleet.

CEO Chai Chien-hwa (翟健華) says passenger demand is recovering after
temporary setbacks from tariffs, natural disaster rumors, and visa
restrictions.

In the first nine months of this year, Starlux saw passenger revenue rise 17
percent and cargo revenue jump almost 70 percent, largely thanks to
AI-related products, with North America accounting for over 70 percent of
cargo traffic.

While Chai acknowledges risks like supply chain delays and rising costs, he
expects 2026 to be a record-breaking year for the carrier as market
conditions stabilize.

The airline currently serves 30 destinations on 35 routes, with plans to
expand across Asia, North America, and eventually Oceania.
