Wu pledges not to accept corporate donations, calls on Chiang to do the

Wu Yi Nong, as the hopeful DPP nominee to run for Taipei mayor, is pledging
that he will not accept any corporate donations in his campaign...

and says that he also would use a completely electronic donations platform
that would document each donation, so as to ensure that the flow of political
donations can be clearly monitored.

He also called on incumbent Taipei Mayor Chiang Wan An to do the same.

Chiang responded today to say that he "wasn't thinking about the election
right now."

Wu says, he would run a grassroots campaign for mayor, only accepting public
donations.

Wu added that, as a potential candidate for leader of the capital city, his
job is not only to follow standards but to take the initiative to raise them.
