T Monkeys captain Lin Li nearing a record-breaking contract extension

And finally in sports news,

Rakuten Monkeys captain Lin Li is nearing a record-breaking contract
extension worth more than 1-million N-T a month.

The team has confirmed that offered Lin a contract exceeding five years as he
becomes a free agent after next season.

The deal could set a new record for extended contracts in the Chinese
Professional Baseball League.

His contract is expected to surpass that of Uni-President 7-Eleven Lions star
Chen Chieh-hsien and could potentially set a new benchmark for C-P-B-L
extended contracts.

The Monkeys aim to finalize the agreement later this month.
