South Korean President Lee Jae Myung says, he's considering apologizing to North Korea.
That's over suspicions that Seoul's former conservative leader intentionally sought to raise military tensions between the two countries in the buildup to his martial law declaration nearly one year ago.
Lee is stressing his desire to repair ties with North Korea, but when speaking to reporters, he seemed unclear on the details of Pyongyang's detention of several South Korean nationals.
This comes after former President Yoon Suk Yeol was indicted over allegations that he ordered drone flights over North Korea to intentionally stoke tensions.
South Korean media also reported that the country's military under Yoon flew propaganda leaflet balloons over the border.
Lee says, he's considering an apology, but he says he's concerned he will be smeared as pro-North Korea.
