The Danjiang Bridge connecting New Taipei City's Tamsui and Bali districts will host two major public events, a sunset run and a bicycle tour, before its official opening next year.
The Ministry of Transportation and Communications says the bridge is slated for an official opening ceremony on May 9th, 2026, with vehicles allowed to cross starting May 12th.
Officials say a run will take place on the bridge on the afternoon of April 18th, 2026, allowing participants to enjoy the Tamsui sunset.
And a bicycle tour will follow on April 19th, with the routes designed to connect Dan-shui and Bali landmarks.
Registration opens November 27th and 28th respectively.
The ministry says it's also planning additional activities leading up to the opening, including photography and painting competitions, to introduce the public to the new bridge.
