US AG Bondi has ordered investigation into Trump foes re: Epstein

US Attorney General Pam Bondi says she has ordered a top federal prosecutor
to investigate sex offender Jeffrey Epstein's ties to President Trump's
political foes, including former President Bill Clinton.

Bondi said she's assigning Manhattan US Attorney Jay Clayton to lead the
investigation, which was requested by Trump.

Congressional Republicans released nearly 23,000 pages of documents from
Epstein's estate earlier this week, and House Democrats seized on emails
mentioning Trump.

The president didn't explain what crimes he wanted the Justice Department to
investigate.

None of the men that Trump mentioned in demanding the probe have been accused
of sexual misconduct by any of Epstein's victims.

Clinton has acknowledged traveling on Epstein's private jet but has said that
he had no knowledge of the late financier's crimes.
