PO voices concerns about Chinese diplomats comments towards Japan's PM

Presidential Office spokeswoman Karen Kuo says the Lai administration is taking threatening remarks made by Chinese officials toward Japan seriously.
According to Kuo, "such behavior clearly exceeds diplomatic etiquette."
The statement comes after Japan criticized China's Consul General in Osaka for "extremely inappropriate" remarks seemingly directed at Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi, after she suggested that Tokyo could take military action if Beijing attacked Taiwan.
Xue Jian threatened Takaichi in a social media post this past weekend in which he said "the dirty neck that sticks itself in must be cut off."
The post was later deleted.
Japan's chief cabinet secretary says while the intent of the post was not entirely clear, Xue has made "multiple inappropriate statements" and Tokyo has repeatedly asked Beijing to take appropriate action.
Beijing is claiming Xue's post was "personal" and was a response to Takaichi's "wrongful and dangerous" remarks on Taiwan.
