Pork Prices Stable as Transport and Slaughter Ban Lifted
Posted on 2025-11-07 17:07:13
The Ministry of Agriculture says that pork prices are stable ... after the
ban on pig transportation and slaughter was lifted today.

According to the ministry, pork prices at seven meat markets ranged from 96
to 106 NT per kilogram.

Trading also gradually resumed at other markets, where prices also held
steady.

*The ministry says full availability of fresh pork at markets is expected by
tomorrow.

Officials say weekly coordination meetings will be held through March to
manage supply levels — with daily slaughter capped at 30 thousand pigs.

They add that cold storage measures will be activated if prices fall too low
to protect farmers' incomes.
