Premier pushes back on KMT chair's Putin comments
Posted on 2025-11-04 18:10:13
Premier Zhuo Rong Tai is pushing back on comments made by the new KMT chair
over Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Zhuo said that anyone who believes that Putin is not a dictator themselves
must hold the mentality of a dictator.

The premier is emphasizing that Putin has been in office for 25 years, and
has changed Russia's constitution to allow himself to stay in office.

She stated in a media interview last week that Putin was elected
democratically, and said that he therefore cannot be considered a dictator.

She also claimed that Russia's invasion of Ukraine was not Russia's fault and
rather was due to eastward expansion of NATO.
