Lin Hsin-i claims Taiwan's APEC 'visibility' has improved

Taiwan's envoy to the 2025 APEC Economic Leaders' Meeting says the island's "visibility" at the event improved this year, with many member economies seeking cooperation in several advanced technology fields.
Lin Hsin-i noted that, when compared with past years, when Taiwan's delegation needed to invest far more effort to attract foreign investment and cooperation, many economies this year had approached the delegation without much prompting.
Lin said he held "constructive exchanges" with many leaders and delegation members ... who expressed a willingness to cooperate with Taiwan in semiconductors, Information and Communication Technology, medical technology, and Small and Medium-sized Enterprises development,
The envoy told reporters that those interactions not only enhanced Taiwan's visibility, but also laid a solid foundation for future substantive economic and trade cooperation.
Lin represented President Lai Ching-te at this year's APEC Leaders' Meeting in South Korea, which concluded on Saturday.
This year's APEC discussions focused on technological innovation, supply chain security, and artificial intelligence.
