Government to Auction Far Eastern Air Jets for Just NT$5 Million Each

For the very first time, the Taipei branch of the Administrative Enforcement
Agency is auctioning off aircraft that once belonged to a local airline.

Officials say two Far Eastern Air Transport passenger jets will go up for
auction on November 11th at 11 AM.

The sale aims to recover more than 100 million NT in unpaid airport fees
dating back to 2019.

Each plane starts at just 5 million NT — roughly the price of a luxury SUV.

The agency says aircraft auctions are extremely rare and have already drawn
interest from aviation companies, collectors, and investors.

Those wishing to bid can attend in person or submit their offers by mail.
