Taipei MRT Banan Line Extending Max Frequency Service

The Taipei MRT is adjusting the schedule for its busiest line to ease congestion during the morning rush hour.
The Taipei Metro says starting November 10th, the maximum frequency service on the Bannan Line will begin earlier.
Currently, trains on the line run every 2 minutes between 8 a.m. and 8:30 a.m.
However, on November 10th, the two-minute headways will be implemented 30 minutes earlier, at 7:30 a.m., on weekdays for trains heading from Far Eastern Hospital Station toward Nangang Exhibition Center.
The metro says the changes will carry an additional 2-thousand people during the weekday morning rush hour.
Additionally, the metro says it will adjust weekend schedules and add extra trains on the Bannan and Danshui-Xinyi lines to manage crowds attending major year-end events, including concerts at the Taipei Dome, department store sales, and the New Taipei City Christmasland festival.
