DPP recommends Huang Xiu Fang for Changhua Magistrate

The DPP is recommending lawmaker Huang Xiu Fang 黃秀芳　as their candidate
for the Changhua Magistrate position.

They say, poll numbers indicate that Huang is the best fit for the job.

There have been several people vying for the nomination, including DPP
lawmaker Chen Su Yue陳素月, former Changhua Mayor Qiu Jian Fu 邱建富, and
current Changhua Mayor Lin Shi Xian 林世賢.

However, the party has decided to remove former mayor Qiu from eligibility,
as they say he violated participation principles.

Huang has yet to receive confirmation from the central party committee to
become the nominee.
