TSMC's 2-Nanometer Chip Trial Success in Kaohsiung

Kaohsiung Mayor Chen Chi-mai (陳其邁) says Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing
Company has successfully trial-produced a 2-nanometer chip at its Kaohsiung
plant — the world's most advanced process technology.

TSMC presented one of the chips to the city government as a souvenir ...
which will be displayed in city hall.

The mayor said construction and trial production have progressed faster than
expected, marking a major milestone for Kaohsiung's role in the global
semiconductor industry.

He pledged continued efforts to strengthen the city's semiconductor corridor,
from equipment and materials to the supply chain.
