Observation deck at Taipei Songshan Airport to open soon

The observation deck at Taipei Songshan Airport is scheduled to open to the
public before the Mid-Autumn Festival after two years of restoration.

Transport Minister Chen Shi-kai says the viewing area has been a popular
destination for watching aircraft takeoffs and landings since it opened in
2011.

But then it shut down in October 2023 for the replacement of broken wooden
floors and other facilities.

The new deck now not only has stronger structure, but a nursing room and
better restrooms, as well as a giant vertical green plant wall.

It has also introduced the Korean coffee brand Caffe Bene, providing
travelers with enhanced food and beverage services.

The Songshan Airport says the opening hours for the deck should be from 5 AM
till 11 PM.
