Taipei police are investigating a woman who was filmed harassing another passenger on the MRT, after police say that she caused a disturbance at a convenience store.
Authorities say that she's wanted for theft.
In the video, which made the rounds over the past few days, a young person is sitting in one of the priority seats on the train, while there are other open seats visible.
The older woman hits the younger person with a bag.
The younger passenger then waits for the woman to hit them again before kicking her.
Taipei MRT says that the incident occurred on Monday around 4pm on the red line.
Police do note, though, that neither party involved in the MRT disturbance reported the incident...
and they're investigating that separately, under the Social Order Maintenance Act.
