Nantou to Test National Day Fireworks Tomorrow

Nantou is set to test run its National Day Fireworks show tomorrow.

The National Day fireworks display will be held in Nantou County for the
first time this year, and a
test launch of about 1,000 fireworks will be
conducted tomorrow at 8 p.m. at a site along the Maoluo River.

Roads in the area will be closed from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. to accommodate the
test.



Nantou County Magistrate Hsu Shu-hua is inviting residents and visitors to
attend the full event on October 10th.

She says the festivities will include a flag-raising ceremony in the morning
and a large-scale tea-making event in the afternoon.

The main fireworks show will take place in the evening.



The county's health department says it is planning for the large crowds by
setting up multiple first-aid stations and coordinating with fire departments
and hospitals to ensure a smooth emergency response.
