Students at National Taiwan University staged a war game yesterday evening simulating a Chinese invasion based on recent PLA military exercises.
The tabletop exercise included scenarios such as missile strikes on eastern Taiwan, sabotage of undersea cables, and amphibious landings in Tainan.
Organizers said the goal was to educate young people on national defense and decision-making during crises.
Former military leaders observing the game stressed the importance of decentralized command in combat, countering disinformation, and maintaining public resolve.
One expert argued Taiwan should launch immediate counterattacks on Chinese missile launchers if struck, to prevent further barrages.
