Chen Chu hospitalized; voluntarily gave up salary acc. Control Yuan

The Control Yuan says, Chen Chu voluntarily gave up her salary, as she's
currently on leave and hospitalized.

The issue began when Chen last year sought treatment for a cold, but a
physical examination revealed a tumor in her right kidney.

After surgery, medical officials said that Chen's health was stable and that
rehab courses were being arranged,

Chen is still on sick leave, and there have been frequent discussions about
her salary.

The Control Yuan, however, says that her sick leave was handled in accordance
with the law, and they emphasized that Chen voluntarily waived her salary.
