Luo Zhi Qiang urges KMT to support singular leader

KMT lawmaker Luo Zhi Qiang is urging his party to rally around a singular
leader ahead of registration for the KMT's upcoming chairmanship election.

Luo, who is running for the position, emphasized his belief that the key to
success for the KMT in 2028 election would be for everyone to support a
single candidate for the presidential race.

Luo pointed out that based on the latest poll, there is majority support for
Taichung Mayor Lu Xiu Yan to stay in her position as Taichung mayor, rather
than running in the chairmanship election...

and voters also seem to mostly support the idea that the party chair doesn't
need be the presidential nominee.

Luo said that as long as everyone in the party rallies around Lu to be the
2028 nominee, the KMT will be successful in winning back the presidency in
2028.
