Blue line MRT adjustments, two trains to depart from Jiangzicui

The Taipei MRT Blue Line has a new schedule starting today, with two trains
now opening for passengers at Jiangzicui (江子翠) Station during the morning
rush.

Previously, four extra trains began service at Far Eastern Hospital and two
at Banqiao.

Under the new plan, two will depart from Far Eastern, two from Banqiao, and
two from Jiangzicui.

MRT officials say the adjustment is aimed at easing peak-hour congestion,
with trains already running at the shortest intervals possible — averaging
about two minutes and 15 seconds between 8 and 9 AM.

They note the Blue Line sees especially heavy crowds between Longshan Temple
and Nangang Exhibition Center during that hour, and pledged to keep
monitoring and improving the passenger experience.
