KMT urges yes vote on referendum

The KMT is citing what they've called "global trends" of extending the
lifespans of nuclear power plants...

to urge voters to vote yes on the referendum scheduled for August 23rd.

They say that the lifespans of nuclear power plants in the US, Japan, France,
and other countries have all been extended.

They also describe a new poll showing that 65% of voters support extending
the life of the third nuclear power plant.

The KMT also stated that extending the life of the Number 3 power plant would
help bring electricity rates down as well.
