The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has welcomed former U-K Prime Minister Boris

It's Johnson's first visit to the island.

He's in Taipei to give a keynote speech alongside former Canadian Defense
Minister Jason Kenney at this week's Ketagalan Forum-Indo-Pacific Security
Dialogue... which is jointly hosted by the foreign ministry and the Prospect
Foundation and opens today.

The foreign ministry says Johnson will also meet with President Lai Ching-te,

Johnson's visit to Taipei is a part of his broader trip to Asia that also
includes a stop in China.

The Prospect Foundation says this week's dialogue will bring together 12
political leaders, scholars, and experts from 10 countries, including the
United States, Japan, and countries in Europe and the Indo-Pacific region.

The focus of of the event will be on regional security, whole-of-society
