Taipei MRT Donates Lost-and-Found Items to Charity

Taichung Metro is transforming unclaimed lost-and-found items into a source
of community support.

The metro company recently donated 571 useful goods to charity, giving new
purpose to possessions that were left behind.

These items, which included warm jackets, hats, and other personal goods,
were given to organizations operated by the Genesis Social Welfare
Foundation.

The company reported finding nearly 7,600 items in the first half of the year.

The Taichung Metro plans to hold two donation drives annually, working with
the city’s Social Affairs Bureau to identify organizations that can best
distribute these resources to vulnerable groups and homeless individuals.
