DPP secretary-general submits resignation after legislative recall loss

D-P-P Secretary-General Lin You-chang has submitted his resignation after the
failure of the mass legislative recall campaign this past weekend.

Lin said via social media, that he tendered his resignation to President Lai
Ching-te, as he is responsible for any shortcomings and failure to meet
public expectations.

Lin praised the recall campaign volunteers - saying they had shown selfless
spirit, courage and unwavering commitment to Taiwan ..

.. and he went on to say that "what we need least is to make excuses for the
outcome, but instead to move forward."

The Presidential Office has yet to formally accept Lin's resignation.
