Survey Shows Home Price Expectations Stay High

A new survey by Academia Sinica shows most people still expect home prices to
rise, even after the market cooled in early 2025.

Nearly 60 percent of consumers think prices will go up in six months, with an
average rise of 2.7 percent.

In the long term, 71 percent believe prices will climb over the next three
years.

The central bank’s seventh round of credit controls helped slow the market
this year, but people’s long-term price expectations remain strong.

The survey also found that 89 percent of consumers expect prices for goods to
rise in the next year.
