CEC: Ma Wen Jun, You Hao recall elections to be 8/23

The Central Election Commission says, recall elections for two KMT Nantou
legislators will be held on Satuday August 23rd.

Constituents of KMT lawmakers Ma Wen Jun and You Hao can vote in their recall
elections that day, from 8am to 4pm.

CEC officials say that the number of signatures turned in for recalling the
two both reached over 24,000, and met the requirement.

However, as there are so-called "ghost signatures" in the petitions that may
constitute forgery, the CEC will transfer the case to the Supreme Prosecutors
Office.

Notably, these two recall vote will take place separately from those against
24 others KMT lawmakers, including legislative caucus leaders Fu Kun Qi and
Wang Hong Wei.

Their recall voting date is set for July 26th.
