Taiwan Taoyuan International Airport says it has surpassed 20 million
passengers earlier this month, and expects a busy summer travel season.

The airport says passenger volume hit the 20-million mark on June 4th, which
makes for over 96-percent of the airport's pre-pandemic traffic volume from
the same period in 2019.

And for July and August, the airport projects a total of over 8.5-million
passengers, which would exceed the number of passengers seen in the summer of
2019.

In anticipation of the busy travel season, the airport is reminding
passengers to arrive three hours before their flight, with valid passports.

The airport is also reminding travelers heading to the Middle East or nearby
areas to confirm their flight details before departure, due to recent
conflicts in the region.

Taiwan carriers China Airlines and E-V-A Air both say their schedules are
unaffected so far.
