The American Chamber of Commerce has released its 2025 White Paper, highlighting both progress and key challenges in Taiwan’s business environment.
AmCham President Carl Wegner says its members remain optimistic about investing in Taiwan, with strong interest in deepening US-Taiwan ties.
The paper notes that major bilateral issues have been addressed, and the relationship is now focused on fine tuning, particularly in regulatory areas and energy planning.
Government engagement is also improving.
AmCham reports that more issues were resolved this year than last, and officials are showing greater openness and collaboration on policy discussions.
That was AmCham President Carl Wegner.
This year’s White Paper focuses on regulatory modernization, whole-of-society implementation, and strengthening US-Taiwan relations.
While the Lai administration has taken important steps toward resilience, AmCham urges further concrete reforms to ensure high-level policy goals translate into measurable action.
