Taipei Zoo to Close for 10 Days Starting June 18

The Taipei Zoo will close from June 18th to 27th for its annual maintenance.

Staff will update animal enclosures, clean buildings, trim trees for typhoon
safety, and fix walkways.

The work includes upgrades for king penguins, red-crowned cranes, gibbons,
macaws, and toucans.

The zoo will also train staff during the closure to improve animal care and
service.

This yearly 10-day break happens before summer to finish repairs quickly and
avoid disturbing the animals.

Visitors are advised not to go during this period.
