DPP lawmaker Puma Shen slams China sanctions on father's company

D-P-P lawmaker Puma Shen is slamming China's decision to sanction his father's export company - calling it a retaliatory move in response to his promotion of legislation opposed by Beijing.
According to Shen, it was "foolish" of China to sanction his father's company, Sicuens International, which sells car parts around the world, including China.
The lawmaker says the punishment targeting his father Shen Tu-cheng is "in fact undermining the interests of Chinese suppliers" that have worked with the Taiwan-based company.
Shen's response comes after China's Taiwan Affairs Office announced more punitive measure against his father's company this week - saying it will be banned from conducting any business or cooperation with Chinese organizations, companies and individuals.
Office spokeswoman Zhu Feng-lian says China will not allow companies with ties to "diehard Taiwan independence" separatists to make money in China.
The office banned Shen and his family members from entering China, Hong Kong and Macao in October of last year.
