China Accuses Taiwan of Cyberattacks, Offers Bounty
Posted on 2025-06-05 14:09:13
China has accused Taiwan of launching cyberattacks on sensitive sectors,
including the military, government, and tech firms.

Guangzhou police named 20 Taiwanese military personnel as suspects and
offered a bounty of around 40-thousand NT, for information on each.

Taiwan’s Information, Communications and Electronic Force Command strongly
denied the claims, calling them political smears.

It said its mission is to protect national defense information and
cybersecurity.

The unit also pointed to recent condemnations by the U.S., EU, and Czech
Republic of Chinese hacking, calling Beijing the true global cyber threat.

Taipei says China’s actions show a pattern of intimidation and that Chinese
courts have no authority over the self-ruled island.
