Man who tried to get Terry Gou on the ballot for China sentenced

The former KMT member who worked for China to try to get Terry Gou the KMT
presidential nomination at China's behest has been sentenced to jail.

The Supreme Court sentenced Former KMT Standing Committee member Fan Cheng
Lian 范成連 to 3 years in prison and 6 years of deprivation of civil rights.

His accomplice, Xinpu Township Representative Chairman Wang Zeng Ji 王增基
was sentenced to 10 months in prison.

The Supreme Court upheld a lower court's ruling, and those sentences are now
finalized.

The verdict points out that Fan and Wang planned to buy signatures to get Gou
on the ballot in October 2023.
