Zhu welcomes Lu Xiu Yan to run as party chair

KMT Chairman Eric Chu says, he welcomes Taichung Mayor Lu Shiow-yen to run
against him in the race for party chair.

The KMT has an election planned for the position which is likely to take
place this year, and media reports have said that Lu will announce her
candidacy before recall elections take place, theoretically late this summer.

When asked for his two cents on the matter, Chu said he thought it was great
and that he welcomes Lu to run.
