MOFA congratulates Canada on successful election

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has congratulated Canada following its
federal election - saying Ottawa has set a global benchmark for the
democratic processes.

The ministry said Taiwan and Canada share universal values such as democracy,
freedom, and human rights - and tie between the two sides have grown steadily
in recent years.

The ministry touted the bilateral Foreign Investment Promotion and Protection
Agreement in 2023 and the Science and Technology Innovation Agreement a year
later as evidence of the shared values...

... stating that the both agreements have further strengthened bilateral ties.

The ministry is also expressing the government's optimism about the
continuing growth of Taiwan's partnership with Canada.
